About the Project:
Client: MIT McGovern Institute for Brain Research

A selection of animation we produced for a TED talk by Ed Boyden at the Mcgovern Institute at MIT. Our animation was used to help explain a new approach to microscopy that utilizes the same polymers that you would find in baby diapers to expand brain tissue. By expanding the tissue a much more detailed molecular level view of the intricate structures that make up neurons in the brain can be observed under a traditional microscope. This technique can also be applied to other tissues in the body.
